Birdmusic

Many composers have been inspired by birds' beautiful sounds. Here are some examples:

Goldfinch Concerto by Antonio Vivaldi

Italian Composer Antonio Vivaldi wrote his Concerto in such a way that the flute imitates the trills and warbles produced by the goldfinch.

The Lark Ascending by Vaughan Williams

The Nightingale by Igor Stravinsky

In the Nightingale, a soprano singer imitates the nightingale.

The Cuckoo and the Nightingale by George Frideric Handel

Handel's music combines the sound of the cuckoo with the sound of the nightingale.

Mozart is said to have been inspired by his pet Starling.

...and what inspires you?
